50-60 feet is quiet a ways for any router. The XR series would have better range then the R7000 does. However the additional EX7700 would do nicely as an extender to help with range for the XR450. I use my XR450 upstairs 2nd level on a 5000sq ft home. 40 feet on the opposite end downstairs is my EX7700.
